From time to time, we may provide updates to the software used on the RoadLog in-vehicle device or to the software available on the web portal. When this happens, we mail out a notice to the email address your fleet has listed under Portal Administration -> Company Data.
Updates for the software in the device will be automatically sent to devices with Advanced or Premium service level. No user training is required. When the update is received, the user must press the “Update” button (there is no other option). After pressing “update”, the device will update itself for about 10 minutes, rebooting periodically.
For users of devices using RoadLog Solo, the update file will be automatically placed on all RoadLog Driver and Fleet Keys when they are inserted into the PC and Synced with the RoadLog Sync program. After this, the Driver or Fleet Key will automatically update any RoadLog devices into which they are inserted.
When the RoadLog Office software is updated, there is no action required by the user. However, the email your fleet receives may indicate that some downtime is planned for the website, where your fleet cannot access RoadLog data. This normally is scheduled outside of typical US business hours to minimize inconvenience.
