Q: I plugged the Roadlog into the truck and the screen tells me to insert key or to press register but nothing happens.
A: An account needs to be created in order for the Roadlog to recognize the vehicle it’s in. If you bought the Roadlog online then you should have received an email with a link and password. Once you log into the Roadlog portal, you can create your vehicle and link it to the vehicle. If you bought the Roadlog in store and nothing was set up, call 1-855-762-3564 to have a tech rep help you.
Q: I set up my account and assigned the Roadlog to my vehicle but when I plug the Fleet key into the Roadlog, nothing happens.
A: You have one more step. Go back to the Portal and download the Roadlog Sync App. After it downloads, plug in the fleet and driver keys. The program will assign the keys and then you’ll be able to use them. The sync will also put the latest software on the key, so when you plug it in again, it might prompt you to install the software.
Q: Where should I mount the device?
A: We generally mount them on a flat surface on the dashboard where your view of the road is not obstructed.
Q: Do I need the battery?
A: Yes, it keeps your settings saved.
Q: My Roadlog is stuck, it keeps saying finding GPS.
A: You might need to move around if you’re in the middle of nowhere, or have towering trees or buildings around you.
Q: My key is taking forever to upload, I’ve pulled it out and reset it multiple times but still nothing.
A: Call 1-855-762-3564 and we will help you reset the key. Do not pull out the key next time you sync it.
Q: What happens if I lose connection (Advanced)?
A: Nothing, everything is saved on the device and will be sent once connection is re-established.
Q: What happens if I lose or break my key?
A: Do not log out your driver from the Roadlog. Once a new key is purchased, you will have to sync and re-assign the driver to the key. Then you can log-out the driver with the new key and their information will now be on the new key.
Q: My hours show all zeros when I log in.
A: There are no hours when you first log in as there is no history. Your clock will fill up after your first 10 hour reset.
